Early Primary

The Early Primary program consists of a mixed age group ranging from 18 months to 2 1/2 years. In the loving Montessori environment the most important concepts are kindness, care of self and focus. The goal of the early primary curriculum is to teach and instill independence, internal discipline, a love of learning, and safety and respect.

The Early Primary program has areas of practical life, sensorial, language, science, and large and small motor development. At this stage the children begin matching, sorting, categorization, sounds, and concrete number work. In the outdoor environment they have options of climbing, cycling, running and balancing. With an assortment of quality Montessori materials the children are enabled to make good choices with their work, friends and behavior.
